you. no joke, it works. it would also be a good idea to carry her
phone number [and the hotel's] around beijing in case you are
separated from the group. [yes, those things happen].
Shanghai - Several teachers have stayed here in the past. It's cheap, close to the metro, and has Internet access. I think it is about an hour by taxi from the Airport. The cost I think was about $100/80 for 4 of us.
